From Survival to Thrival

Survival to Thrival.com, is a coaching and networking organization located in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Survival to Thrival was started by Kathrin Lake to help others make the changes they want to make in their lives so they are not just surviving but thriving.
Kathrin works as a Certified Human Resources Professional in which training, speaking, and coaching are key components of her work, and has a history of collaborating with up and coming entrepreneurs to help them create a thriving organization that loves to work together. She is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and has been a Toastmaster for over 10 years in various leadership roles. Kathrin is trained in co-active coaching but uses a combination of coaching models. She has owned her own training company in which she created and ran courses such as Writing with Cold Feet, Putting Off Procrastination and The Rhythm of Communication.
Kathrin also has a background in the Theatre and has been an award-wining playwright and teacher of writing. Her first non-fiction book is From Survival to Thrival. She is currently working on another non-fiction account about her experiences in Mexico and the town that she owns property and lives in with her partner for part of every Canadian winter.
“When I was teaching creative writing to adults, I would bring up Dickens’ Scrooge and ask the question, is it possible for a person to change overnight? These thoughts and reflections and my career as a Human Resources Professional, combined with my own journey, was a starting point to figuring out how people make positive changes that stick. When you know the ingredients of how people move from survival to what I call thrival, you can get the support to put it in action.”
